As a child, I was captivated by the Ramayana. It wasn't just a show; it was a cultural lifeline in the Bharatiya family of the nineties. Every episode filled my young mind with wonder. How did Shri Ram, Sita, and Lakshman endure those 14 long years in the wilderness? The concept of DHARMA was beyond my grasp back then.
But as I grew older, I found myself adrift in the rush of modern India, losing sight of that innocent curiosity. By 2022, my restless soul had led me through 15 states, journeying on foot and relying on the kindness of strangers for rides. Along the way, I discovered that the India I read about in books was just a shadow of its reality. Yet, something crucial was missing.
The lockdown hit, and once again, Ramayana graced our screens. This time, my perspective had shifted. The child who once watched with innocent eyes was now a seeker, yearning for deeper truths. Shri Ram's path of exile spoke to me like never before.
I decided to embark on my own journey of exile, to understand India from its roots. The road was harsh, and I witnessed many things that Bharat shouldn't endure. I saw the brutal clashes of religions, the decay gnawing at the heart of our nation.
In those moments of solitude and struggle, I finally grasped the essence of DHARMA. It wasn't just about righteousness; it was about healing, uniting, and uplifting our Bharat.
